Description
The Factor 55 Extreme Duty Soft Shackle is a lightweight, easy to use and safe replacement for the conventional steel bow shackle used for winch and tow recovery. Factor 55's Extreme Duty Soft Shackles are Made in the USA under the uncompromised Factor 55 quality standards.
Like all Factor 55 rigging products, soft shackles have been lab and field tested to assure consistent repeatable minimum breaking strength values. Each Extreme Duty soft shackle is constructed of 3/8 diameter UHMWPE rope similar in construction to synthetic winch lines.
Note how the protective jacket is attached close to the knot, providing as much abrasion protection as possible. For their size and weight, these Extreme Duty Soft Shackles provide an additional 25-30 percent verified breaking strengths when compared to common standard soft shackles on the market today.
The longer 20 inch diameter version functions as a common soft shackle but also allows for the user to double loop the shackle resulting in breaking strengths exceeding 70,000 pounds. WLL and minimum breaking strengths clearly marked
