Looking for rocker guards that can handle anything the trail throws at them? The Motobilt Frame Mounted Rocker Guards for the 2018–current Jeep Wrangler JLU 4-Door provide maximum protection for your Jeep’s body in extreme off-road conditions.
Unlike body-mounted rocker protection that bolts to sheet metal or body mounts, these rock sliders are welded directly to the frame, creating a true structural barrier between your Jeep and trail obstacles. When contact is made, impact forces are transferred directly into the frame instead of the body—dramatically reducing the risk of damage. They’re built tough enough to be used as a jack point, giving you confidence on the trail when lifting your Jeep.
The frame mounts are constructed from 3/16-inch thick laser-cut steel plate, CNC-formed into boxed structures that significantly increase strength and load distribution. Compared to traditional tube-and-gusset mounts, this design provides four times the surface area at the frame and three times the surface area at the slider connection, resulting in exceptional durability under hard impacts.
The slider portion is built from 2-inch DOM steel tubing, with end caps and center bracing fabricated from the same heavy-duty 3/16-inch formed steel as the mounts. Each set ships fully welded in bare steel, ready for final fitment, welding, and finishing.
Installation requires welding and painting. If you choose to powder coat the rockers, we strongly recommend test fitting first to avoid damage. Powder coat must be removed from the weld areas prior to installation, and those areas should be painted after welding. Powder coating services are not offered.
