They are made from durable polyester material containing uniform micron openings. The Pre-Filter will stop small dirt particles, and also keep the air filter element dry when splashed with water - yet add very little restriction to the air filter. Durable double stitching will make sure the Pre-Filter will stay in place. RIPP Pre-Filters are manufactured from a durable polyester material and are pre-treated with a proprietary hydrophobic process designed to prevent splashes of water or mud from saturating your air filter. The Pre-Filter will also stop small dirt particles; yet add little restriction to the airflow of the filter. Please be aware the Pre-Filter is water repellent, not water proof. Depending on conditions and usage the water repellent treatment is good for 1 to 2 years.
