Description

Upgrade the braking performance of your Jeep Wrangler JL, JK, or Gladiator JT with the Rebel Off Road Restraint Black Series Brake Upgrade Kit. This kit is designed for on or off-road use and is engineered to improve braking power, reduce fade, and increase durability.

The kit includes high-performance brake pads, rotors, and hardware. With its black series design, it will also enhance the look of your Jeep, making it stand out from the rest. Improve your Jeep's braking performance and appearance with the Rebel Off Road Restraint Black Series Brake Upgrade Kit.

Rebel Off Road Engineering's Jeep Wrangler & JT Gladiator Complete Brake Upgrade replaces your factory front and rear brake rotors and brake pads.

Your new rotors are double drilled and slotted for the ultimate in stopping power. If your Jeep has larger than stock tires then you know just how poor the factory brakes work.

Customers state the stopping power is up to 40% better than stock. The double drilled and staggered holes increase pad bite and allow faster heat dissipation.

Conversion includes:
  • 2 front Restraint rotors
  • 2 rear Restraint rotors
  • 1 Set of Front Brake Pads
  • 1 Set of Rear Brake Pads

OPTIONAL BRAKE LINES:

For increased braking pressure, add our stainless steel braided brake lines. Stainless brake lines offer a variety of benefits:

  • Increased durability and longevity: Stainless steel is much more resistant to wear and tear than rubber, so stainless steel braided lines will last longer than rubber lines.
  • Improved brake performance: Stainless steel braided lines offer improved brake pedal feel and braking performance. This is because stainless steel lines are less likely to expand under pressure, which can cause a spongy or mushy brake pedal feel.
  • Aesthetics: Stainless steel braided lines have a sleek and sporty look, many car enthusiasts prefer the look of stainless steel lines over rubber lines.
  • Safety: Stainless steel brake lines are more resistant to heat and pressure, which can reduce the risk of brake failure.
FAQ:
What aftermarket wheels fit with the new rotors?
Absolutely any aftermarket wheel that fits your Jeep is guaranteed to work with our rotors. Because we are not increasing the rotor diameter, any wheel that would clear the factory rotor will clear our upgraded Restraint rotor.

What is the break in period?
Approximately 100 miles of normal driving matches the pads enough to the rotors for full upgraded braking performance to take effect.

How much cooler does this upgraded braking system run?
Testing shows a massive 150-200 degree cooler running temperature over factory OEM pads and rotors.

What about mud getting in the rotors?
No problem at all when running in mud or snow. Our rotors are designed to "self clean" meaning as you drive and rotate the rotor, the cooling fins are designed to sling debris out and away from the pad contact surface.

Rust?
Our rotors have a black electronic finish that serves to prevent corrosion and rust. Over 400 hours of salt water testing was conducted ensuring a long life and no mess after driving through water/snow.

Why is this a better option than a "big brake kit" and with larger calipers, rotors, and a master cylinder?
Several factors make our Restraint upgrade a better "bang for the buck" than complete hardware conversion kits. There really is nothing wrong with the OEM master cylinder and brake calipers. The issue lies in the low quality material used in the factory rotors and pads. Our rotors are a heavy duty, high performance upgrade ensuring killer braking performance while maintaining factory diameter and thickness. Our pads are matched to the rotors ensuring a long life and consistent stopping power.

Brake systems that replace the master cylinder and caliper tend to produce dash error codes and check engine lights. Because we are not replacing components, no check engine or dash error code has ever been see with our upgrade.

Because the rotor diameter is not increased, all aftermarket wheels are compatible. With a rotor size increase, specific wheels must be ordered.

Double Disc Grinding leaves a non-directional finish on the friction surface area for more effective pad-rotor break in. Center Split casting provide proper heat transfer for better braking power and safety. (Eliminating Heat spots) Premium rotors are mill balance to a tolerance of less than 2oz per inch. (Reduces chances of vibration) Low Brake Dust with a longer life span over standard O.E. Pads Customers state an increase of 40% more stopping power over stock.
