The Currie 70 is simply the strongest high-pinion crate axle available, designed handle extreme off-road use and performance V8 horsepower without breaking a sweat. The Currie 70 high-pinion crate axle for the 2018 and newer Jeep JL Wrangler, is a complete bolt-in axle assembly with all required brackets and mounts in place. The vehicles factory driveshaft will require modification or replacement to accommodate the larger 70 series housing and 1350 series u-join.

When purchased on the Web, a master cylinder and booster upgrade kit are included to assure optimum performance of the Currie 70's larger brake system.

  Currie 70 high-pinion nodular iron center section is competition proven and the strongest casting we offer, with heavy main caps, ARP® main bolts and thicker walls and webbing in critical areas
Load Bolt   Ring gear load bolt (top left) eliminates gear deflection, to dramatically increase torque handling capacity. The load bolt typically sits .002 inch from the ring gear and only touches when extremely high torque loads are applied
RockJock 70 Gear   Currie's competition-grade 10.5-inch gears (left) are cut from super-tough 9310 alloy, and then custom heat-treated to a precise hardness, creating gears that can stand up to both the high shock loads of extreme off-road use and the wear of high mileage street use.   High volume flow-thru recirculating oil system keeps pinion bearings bathed in cool oil, reducing operating temperatures and eliminating oil starvation issues
  Large 3.5-inch diameter .375 wall axle tubes (left) are three times stronger than the stock JK Dana® 44 (right) without being overweight or sacrificing ground clearance
  Massive forged 1-ton inner knuckles (right) are designed to stand up to the severe punishment of larger tires without flinching

8-lug Front Brake   13-inch diameter RAM 1500 (6-lug) or F-250 (8-lug) vented rotors (pictured) provide the brake torque required to stop your JL, without the cost or availability limitations of exotic brakes
8-lug F250 Caliper   Large dual piston RAM 1500 (6-lug) or F-250 (8-lug) calipers (pictured) complete the Currie 70's brake package. With broad aftermarket support, replacement pads are always easy to find
  Upgraded JK brake master cylinder and booster (included with web orders) are volume matched to the larger calipers for optimum brake performance
  Lower control arm mounts are one-piece construction with integrated skid plates to help fend off bracket seeking rocks

ABS Sensors - Does not include ABS sensors, the factory sensors from the stock axle must be retained and installed on the Currie housing

Computer Programming: 2012 and newer vehicles require a computer programmer, such as the AEV ProCal Module to reset the gear ratio and tire height in the vehicle's computer for proper function of the vehicles stability control and transmission shift points

Wheel and Tire Size: Requires 17-inch or larger wheels for proper clearance of the brake calipers. Maximum recommended tire size is 40-inches

Overall Width: Axle width is 70-inches (+4.6 inches over stock) between wheel mounting surfaces. Additional width improves turning angle with 37-inch and larger tires

Steering Stabilizer: Ram assist brackets are not compatible with and exclude the use of conventional steering stabilizers
